Advice for Road Runners: The Saucony Women's Guide 17 Running Shoes are designed to provide significant amounts of comfort and protection. They are stability road running shoes with a lot of cushioning.

Underfoot Feel

You should expect the Guide 17 to feel very cushioned, stable and protective underneath your feet.

Saucony's Center Path Technology is present, meaning the Guide 17 have:

  • A broad platform;
  • High sidewalls;
  • An asymmetric profile; and
  • A rocker shape.

The technology mentioned above should provide guidance and support, helping you to move naturally through your gait cycle.

From a cushioning perspective, a lot of the underfoot comfort stems from the Saucony PWRRUN midsole. This EVA-based cushioning should provide a lot of plush and durable cushioning along with some energy return. A Saucony PWRUN Sockliner also helps to enhance comfort.

Upper Fit

The upper should feel supportive but not restrictive. In line with the technology in the midsole, the upper is designed to be very comfortable.

Ideal Run Type

The Saucony Women's Guide 17 Running Shoes are best for easy to steady paced training runs on the road. Suitable for short runs through to long runs at those intensity levels. They should be best for when comfort and added stability are a priority.

Technical Features

  • Approximate weight: 232 grams
  • Drop: 6 mm
  • Forefoot stack height: 29 mm
  • Rearfoot stack height: 35 mm

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
